  1. Our schooldistrict is Raharney which means, "The Rath of Arney", or Carney" still to be seen near the present village, situated on the river Deel which flows into the Boyne.
    The Parish is Killucan in the barony of Fearbil County Westmeath.
    The road as at present is not the old road. The old road can still be seen in places. It ran through Grangemore past Farrelly's farm, crossing the river at the dam, then through Joristown by Milestown, this place taking its name people state from milestones which exist still.
