    plate was used between four or five persons. Tables were made in such a way that it could be hung up against the wall when not in use. Wheaten, potato, leven and boxty were the kinds of bread eaten. The potatoes were boiled, then the skin was taken of them then they were baked on a griddle.
    Leven bread was made in this way. A piece of leven dough was kept until the next cake was being made. Then it was mixed through the dough of that cake. Some people never ate
