    [Drawing] - Cata-putt
A toy for throwing stones is a cata-putt. It is made from a piece of forked wood. To the end of each side is tied a band of rubber, a half inch thick and 10" long, approximately. A stone is place in the centre of the rubber, which is stretched and then suddenly. This sends the stone flying through the air. A sling is another toy for throwing stones.
Tops are made from spools. Rabbits are snared by means of snares which are made from snare-wire. Whistles are made from blitten stalks. First, a stalk about 4" long has to be got. At one end a cut is made half way through the stalk. The whistle is then made.
