  1. When waking in the morning I offer up this prayer:
    Thanks be to thee for bring me safe over the night.
    It is always the custom when starting work to bless yourself.
    When going on a journey I usally say:
    In the name of God I'll start out;
    and I say a Hail Mary that nothing will happen me on my way.
    When going into the church I say:
    Ó Jesús in the blessed scrament help me.
    When going into bed I say
    I must die, I do not know, how, where, or when
    But if I die in mortal sin
    I am lost for ever,
