    The bread used to be made daily and the people used to eat the oaten-bread with porridge.
    On the vigil of certain feast-days special kinds of bread were made in honour of the day. On Shrove Tuesday the people make pancakes which consisted of the following ingredients, flour, sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder and butter milk to wet the paste. This custom is still kept up.
