  2. We have a bog of our own. We did not make any turf in it this year, as it is nearly waste. We made sods in Curran’s bog, Tierworker. The sods are made of mud. The mud is dug up and broke fine with water. They it is spread out in a thick layer on the bank and cut into sods later. It is lifted when dry, made into windrows, and afterwards clamped.
We have 4 perches taken at ten shillings.
