  1. About fifty years ago, there was a forge at the end of Owen Mc Bride's lane in Maio. Matthew Reilly was the blacksmith's name. He was a good blacksmith, and he used to go to Farrell's forge of Moynalty two days every week to work there, and he used to walk to it.
    The people used to have to bring the iron for to make the shoes, and a nailrod to make the nails to the forge. The people had to blow the bellows, and sledge the iron for the blacksmith. He used to
