  1. There was a poet in this district long ago and his name was James Faye. He lived in Main St, for awhile and kept a baker's shop and he left that and went to Chapel St. where he died. he was about eighty years of age when he died and he was buried in St. James Old Churchyard. May he rest in peace.
    His father before him was a poet. The song he made was "I was born and reared bear the town of Athboy.
