    When an animal is sold sometimes the halter or rope is given away, other times it is retained.
    The fair of Skryne and the fair of Ballyboggan were held formerly but are now discontinued.
    There is a fair Green in Trim and Rathmolyon.
    In Edenderry, the cattle and sheep fair is held on the first Monday of each month and the pig fair on the second Tuesday of each month. There are also special fairs held in Trim, Summerhill, Longwood and Kilcock.
    Summerhill, Kilcock and Enfield are the great local fairs of the year.
