  2. There was a man who was not at Confession for twenty two years. One night his neighbour Johnny was going and Tom accompanied him. Johnny asked him where he was going and Tom replied, "To the place where you are going."
    "The priest will run you" said Johnny.
    "I will bet you £1 he won't" said Tom.
    "Done with it," said Johnny.
    He went in and told the priest he was twenty two years away.
    "Well what did you do since," said the priest.
    "I killed a man," replied Tom.
    "Anything else," said the priest.
    "I killed another," replied Tom.
    "That was terrible anything else."
    "I killed another."
    "Well I cannot pardon you until you tell me how this came about."
