  2. Three quarters of a mile from Kilmessan on the Navan road there is a townland called Ringlestown. In this place there is a very old rath. It is oval shaped and it is surrounded by an old wall. It is situated on a hilly field. From this rath the great hill of Tara can be seen. In this rath there is a bucket of gold supposed to be buried. There are four pine trees and bunches of violets grow around. Thieves were supposed to take it from a king. Then the people began to search for them and they hid it there because they were afraid of been caught. My father heard a story told that before
