In the vicinity of Ratoath there is an ancient place called Moate, and at the back of it a river flows near which the Danes fought many a battle.
There was an old Danish Queen lived there, she died in a very short time and was buried in the Moate.
Ratoath got its name by this old lady named Tógh. At the back of the Moate there is a metal slab and it is said that if anybody move the slab they would die in a very short time.
