The Woodlands is a field situated on the School Road outside the village of Ratoath. Long ago there was a Monastery there. During the Penal times it was destroyed and anything of value was taken. But the Nuns got all the Gold and Silver and melted it down on pans and hid it. There is a lot of hills in the field it is said they are the remains of the Monastery. The field is owned by Mr. Corballas, Ratoath
