- (continued from previous page)as all the round and in Collon bought nails from him.
He made most of the naills that were used in teh building of the church and chapel and the making of the pews in them.
When machinery was invented he had to stop making nails as all the nails that were bought were made by machinery. The nails he made were very crude things compared with the nails made by machinery.
The nails made by machinery were much better than the ones made by hand. They had groves in their heads to present the hammer from slipping on them.- Informant
