Black stray cats coming to your house are said to bring luck.
New moon seen first through glass is most unlucky.
If the Xmas pudding cracks when been taken out of the cloth some member of the family will be married before the following Xmas.
A bride should always wear some borrowed article of dress on her wedding day.
A person when meeting a funeral should turn back and walk at least three steps with the funeral.
Before a coffin is lowered into the grave some member of the family should (and does) hit the coffin hard with the clenched hand several times. This ensures long life to the rest of the family. Sometimes to make sure it is done right several members hit the coffin hard and bid farewell to the dead.
