    priest wrote to the Pope to tell him of the holy youth. So St Denis left his cattle and his sheep behind him and set out for the Holy City. It would appear he was raised to the priesthood in Rome. On his return some years after, instead of using the ordinary means of transportation, he sailed into Clogherhead on a stone. When he arrived he was found to be dead, and immediately all the people of Clogherhead began to quarrel with those of Termonfeckon concerning the place of his burial. Two coffins mysteriously appeared instead of one, and each side took a coffin. The Termonfeckon people took the right and they buried it in Kilslaughry. The Clogher head tradition
