  1. Long ago there was a man living in Doonaha and he went to Kilrush on business one day. It was late in the when he went to Kilrush. When he reached Kilrush he went to see a friend of his. He stayed at his friend's house until it was very late because it was raining. As he was going home he had to pass a fort. When he came near the fort he saw a man with a gun standing beside the fort. The man saluted him but as soon as he did the man with the gun
