  1. Some time ago there were protestants living near St. Martin's blessed well. On St. Martins feast day, they started ploughing with a pair of horses, and some one told them that it was not right for them to be working on that day, but they said that they did not care about St. Martin. They were working away until the whipstick got broken and they fixed it and worked away again. After awhile something else got broken,
