  1. The time of the Fenians a man lived in Moyarta who was very rich. He had a pot of gold in which he buried near a haw-thorn because he was afraid robbers that were going around the country would steal it from him. He had some magic power and he put a fairy dog minding it for him.
    Long years after that his two great grand daughters were left without their parents and they were very poor. They said to one another,"If we had the pot of gold in which our great gran-father hid we would be alright". That night their great gran-father
