    for some time until he came to the graveyard. The coffin was then laid down outside the gate which was locked.
    They asked this young fellow to go to the Barracks for the key - peace for the key in those days. He went to the barrack, got the key from the sergeant who set two constables to accompany him on account of the lateness of the funeral.
    Arriving at the graveyard, there were neother men nor coffin to be seen. It was now near morning and the boy went home and to bed. He had to stay there for months for he was laid up with his shoulder. He only lived for a year after this.
    There was a black mark on his shoulder to the day he died.
