    Red Petticoats. Shawls, and in fine weather a little shawl or a handkerchief folded in the form of a triangle and worn over the shoulders. Older women wore white caps with a border or a frill of lace.

    The men wore home made stockings home made knee breeches bandle cloth shirts frieze coats and waistcoats tall silk hats white collars, black cravats and nailed boots.
