  1. For several years in the early part of th 19th century from about 1812 to 1860 the people of the district around Lisvernane used to hear every night a buzzing sound starting Coill Cam a little distant from Ballynacourty house right across to Ballynacourty house and then all round the house.
The Dawson's called the aid of all their Churchmen but to no avail. At last they called on Fr. Hackett of Tipperary and he came after getting permission from his Bishop and he came there a few times and the sound was never heard again.
