  1. One night a long time ago there were three men going to the coal-pits for coal. They left home about twelve in the night and there was a fort on their way.
As they were passing the fort a woman jumped into the last man's car and she never spoke a word. The car stopped and the horse refused to move. One of the other men shouted to him. "Why don't you drive on your horse?" "I can't", said he "don't you see who is in the car and the horse can't pull."
After some time the woman jumped out of the car and hopped over the ditch.
The horse then continued his journey.
