   "and I'll have a pardon for the two of you in 48 hours" "What guarantee have I" said Mick Ryan "that you'll keep your word" "I pledge my word, Ryan." "Your word!" said Ryan. Ryan looked at him. "All right I'll take a chance." But if you fail I'll meet you yet!" And Ryan let him go. "Where will I send the pardon?" said Needham. "To Tom Devereux" replied Ryan. Needham rode away. Within 48 hours police called to Tom Devereux with the pardon and the Ryans returned home.

One evening late as I chanced to stray Round dear old Hacketts Hill Twas from there I spied a maid Beneath the Church of Kill She was modest fair and handsome As any could behold Twas on her dress I do confess Was many a robe of gold. I vouch I'd win this beauteous love Mid every up and down To cheer my old declining years In the Lonely House of Bown
