"All right I'll take a chance." But if you fail I'll meet you yet!" And Ryan let him go. "Where will I send the pardon?" said Needham. "To Tom Devereux" replied Ryan. Needham rode away. Within 48 hours police called to Tom Devereux with the pardon and the Ryans returned home.
