    What e'er him might befall,
    Into the scoundrels body,
    He sent a rifle ball
    He gave to him the first one,
    Which pierced him through the heart,
    He gave to him the second,
    Before he did depart.
    Which sent him down upon the ground,
    All in his crimson gore,
    Never more to rise or tyranise,
    The lands of Ballaghmore.
    There were coroners and magistrates,
    And gentlemen I'm told,
    And over his dead body,
    An inquest they did hold.
    No blood money could they produce,
    No life could they swear in,
    And from different parts of Ireland,
    Came a band of Orangemen.
