  1. There was an old woman one time and her name was Biddy Maher. She lived outside Rathdowney. She had one daughter, this girl to married to a man, who was no good to work, so that she had to go back and live with her mother again. The girl had one child. One day the old woman and her daughter had a row. The old woman was after buying a lovely new alarm clock. She had the window let up and a brush under it to keep it up. Her daughter caught the lovely new clock and threw it out the window and said, "Time Flies". Then the old woman caught her daughter's child and threw it out through the window after the clock and said, "Youth must have its fling."
