  1. Once upon a time there was a man working at Cookes in Borrisoleigh. He was in the habit of saying's things backwards. One day he was late coming back after dinner. Mr. Cooke asked him why he was late and he said :- "When I went home the door was in bed, Bid wide open, the table up on the hens and the potatoes swallowing the ducks".
