Thistles nettles, dock-leaves, and Meadow Foxtail grow on good land. The old people say that these weeds grow on good land.
Moss bent-grass, and Foirin grow on bad land.
Dock-leaves are used as cures for stings of nettles.
Dandelions grow on bad land and they are also used for a cure for a pain in the stomach.
If there are stains on clothes some people get ivy, and steep it in water for a night, and boil it, and then rub it on to the clothes with a rag.
The water cress grows nears streams and is a cure for warts.
