  1. The games I play are - Hide and Go Seek, Rounder, Bowling, Gonny Reymond (?), Drill, playing ball, Couples, hurling, skipping.
During the long winter nights I play cards, Ludo, Draughts, ciots (?), fox and goose.
In the Autumn, I amuse myself by nut-cracking and blackberry picking.
The games the children play are - tig, follow the dog and rabbit, Pookas.
Children amuse themselves in certain ways while sitting around the fire in winter or in other ways out of door.
This is the way we play Bowling. We divide the number of girls in halves. There are two Captains taken from one half and a bowler. There are two posts stock in the ground for home post. Three posts are stuck in the ground about thirty yards from each other. One girl stands at each of these posts. The captains start running firs tand must tip each post as they pass. If any of the posts are touched by the ball they are burned and must change places.
