  1. A Burn :-
    It is said if you lick the belly of an "earc luarcha" it cures a burn. Once when a man tried the cure, the "earc luarcha" left his foot on his face and hair never grew on that patch since.
    A Toothache :-
    If the belly of a frog is licked it is said to cure a toothache.
    Sore Eyes :-
    A local dressmaker went to the holy well at Terryglass with a sore eye and it was cured.
    Whooping Cough :-
    If the owner of the first grey mare met on a road is asked for a cure for whooping cough no matter what he says it is supposed to cure
