  1. About thirty-five years ago there was a great storm in this locality in the month of February. This storm did great damage. It blew off the roofs of houses and knocked down thousands of trees.
    About eighty years ago there was a great snow-storm in this locality. This snow was in some places ten and eleven foot in depth. Many of the birds died during this snow.
