    The people of the locality believe that good weather will follow when any of the following are observed:
    1/ When the smoke goes up straight from the chimney.
    2/ When the sky is very red at sunset.
    3/ When the movements of the birds are such as wild-geese etc is towards the sea.
    4/ When the cricket sings on the hearth.
    5/ When the frog's coat turns to a bright yellow.
    6/ When tthe distant mountains look clear.
    7/ When the moon shines from a clear sky.
    8/ When the sky is a bright blue in the daytime.
    9/ When the wind blows steadily from the west.
    10/ When the swallows fly high.
    11/ When the cattle eat the hill top.
    12/ When you would hear the trains making a great noise in the far away distance.
    13/ When the rivers make a gulping noise.
    14/ When the insects are flyng high.
    15/ When the moon lies on its side.
    16/ When the wind is from the west.
    17/ When the dust rises from the road.
    16/ When the sun comes slowly up at dawn.
    17/ When the curlew gives a single cry.
    18/ When you see a flock of pigeons together on a hill.
