  1. On Little Xmas Eve 1839 there was a great storm. Cow houses were knocked - one at O'Neills Killuragh fell in and injured four cows. A man living at Towerhill - Cunningham did not fasten the latch of the door properly when going out and the wind lifted the fire and scattered it in all directions. The thatched house was burned. All the local farmers had to tie down their houses.
    In 1882 there was a great storm one Sunday in October. It was of short duration but while it lasted it knocked trees and houses.
    In 1895 there was a storm one Thrs night. On May 9th 1880 or 1881 there was a heavy snow storm.
    In Feb 1903 there was a storm from 11pm - 2pm
