    There is gold said to be buried on the Galtees.

    There is gold said to be buried on the Galtees. The old people used to say that the Crows would be carrying gold off the Galtees yet. On the hill overlooking the village of Anglesboro' (Gleann-na-gCreabhar) which is known locally as Teampuillin is a large Cairn or mound which consists of a large circular heap of stones. It is said that the local kings or chiefs are buried there and that there is gold under them. It is the custom of the people when going out to the top of Teampuillin to take a stone with them and add it to those already on the Cairn.
    (This idea would seem to be true as the Cairn on Teampuillin overlooks a small plane in which is the village of Anglesboro, Mitchelstown
