  1. Long ago when the people were not as rich as what they are now everybody used to make their own candles. This was how they used to make:- first they used to kill a cow and get the tallow out of her and then get the candle mould and the wick - yarn.
    This was tied to both ends of the mould and when the tallow was melted or rendered it was poured into the mould and was left in the in it until it was cold and hard.
