    One night her grandfather and the servant boy went for a load of sand at about 12. o clock at night. They had their loads full when in the distance they heard the step of two horses They said they would not come out, and let themselves be seen, so they waited until the horses and riders passed.
    Nearer and nearer the horses, but what did they see passing. Two horses passed with saddles and bridles but no riders were to be seen on them, and my
