  1. Knockpatrick is about two miles distant from Foynes. Every year on the 17th of March. It is so called because it was from that hill Saint Patrick blessed Cork and Kerry. The well was one down inside the gate but it was said that a woman washed clothes in it and the next morning the well was shifted up to where it now stands to-day.
