    About forty years ago and old man named Dan Hannigan lived up near Knockpatrick.

They were very anxious to procure the treasure, and were willing to dig for it. When they were ready to start however, they could not locate the exact place, as the brier was gone, so they failed. The gold is still there, and has never been looked for yet.
