  1. Once a man met the mermaid and he brought her into his house. He took her cloak and put it up in his loft. The mermaid was very angry and would not laugh while she was inside. One day her cloak fell down from the loft by accident. At once when she saw her cloak she laughed and fled away. The man never saw the mermaid again.
