    villages.
    The Crosshaven road leads direct to Crosshaven village and to Fountanstown.
    It winds along the right bank of the Owenabuidhe, underneath Aghamartha and Coolmore woods and Castles, past Drake's Pool, where the famous Admiral Drake hid from the Spanish fleet as recorded in Local History.
    During the famine times, the most of these roads were made and all are still in use. Those who worked at the road making, received three pence a day and were rationed with Indian meal.
    There are no paths or short cuts in the school or Church district.
    In early days fords connected Fahalea and Cumeen; Kilnagleary and the main road to Crosshaven,
