  1. Rheumatism -
    1. Cut a potato in two and rub the acid of one half of the potato to the affected or swollen joint.
    2. Boil some common ash leaves in water, drain, and take a wineglass full the water every day.
    3. Drink water in which ther yarrow plant or wild sage is boiled.
    4. Boiled nettles eaten as vegetables in May.
    5. Walking, drinking plenty good spring water, fresh air and exercise are also good cures for Rheumatism and so is buttermilk.
    Cancer (Internal) -
    Drinks made from dandelion and mashmallow.
    Thrush -
    A posthumous child has power to cure itself or another child of Thrush.
    Bronchitis -
    Syrup of sugar - a - candy and ginger.
    Whooping Cough -
    Boil a bunch of wild sage in water, drain off the water to which you add the white of an egg, some brown sugar, and a small drop of brandy, put into bottle and cork tightly, every time the
