  1. 1. At the top of Carrigaloe Hill, there is an ancient grave-yard. People were buried there before the Old Church was used. Some years ago, it was ploughed, and bones and stones were dug up. Many people were buried there when Neimheadh was defeated by na Fomhóraigh.

    2. An Pasáiste
When Saint Finbarr was an Abbot in Cork, he used to visit Cloyne very often. He used to travel from Cork, to the place where Passage now stands. Then he used to cross over to the other side. 'Tis said that he named that place "An Pasáiste". He died in Cloyne.
