  1. Local Roads
    The names of the local roads are the Old Mallow Road which starts at Blackpool and leads to Mallow.
    The Ballinahina Road starts at Dublin Hill and leads to Carrig-na-var.
    The Old Blarney Road starts at Blackpool Bridge and leads to Blarney and from Blarney to Kanturk.
    At the time of the famine the Government ops employed the men around this district making roads and levelling the terrible hill that the was near Killendaniel to help the poor people to live. The were also making new passages and small roads (called boreens)
    The "Forge Boreen" was one of the boreens that was made at the famine.
