Once upon a time there was a man living in a certain place. This man was married toa very good woman. They had two sons. Their mother died when they were only about three and four years of age. The man missed her very much and especially as the children were so young. About a year after his wife's death one of his neighbours died and as good a neighbour anyone could not have. He was such a great friend of his he had to go to the wake. He did not like leaving the children, so he put them to bed before he left knowing they would be safe. He was only away a couple of hours. When he returned home they were not asleep and he asked them were they afraid. They said they couldn't be afraid as their mother was with them and they believed that all their life.
