    Bronchitis : Take hot lemon and sugar of candy on going to bed.
    Toothache : Wet mustard with a small taste of whiskey, spread on two small strips of strong brown paper; lay on inside and outside of gum, leaving for some time.
    Inward pain: Steep common flannel in boiling water; lay on quickly with hot plate over it.
    Wounds and cuts : Apply soap mixed with sugar.
    Whooping Cough : Get a "hairy-molly" and put it in a bottle; according as it is dying, the cough is dying with it.
    Warts : Put a number of stones in a small bag, equal to the number of warts. Throw bag out of window; whoever will pick up the bag will take the warts.
    Or
    Rub your fasting spin to warts for 9 mornings.
