  1. About the year 1932 a headless coach was supposed to be seen going through Fota Demesne after the death of a lady.
The people who saw it were coming home from a dance about midnight. The people in the headless coach waved to them as they passed.
The same night a boy riding a bicycle heard a noise, he thought it was the mudguard of his bike. He looked behind and saw the coach so he had to go on to the footpath to avoid it.
