  1. Weather When a star follows the moon or if there is a circle around the moon or if the crows are calling or if the curlew gives a single call, if a straw crackles under foot or car, or when there is a rainbow in the sky in the morning these are considered signs of bad weather.
    When the clouds move after rain, if the smoke goes up straight, if the curlew gives a double call if the swallows are flying high these are considered signs of good weather. If salt meat which is usually hung from the rafters, to be "saved" begins to drip, this is considered a sign of approaching rain.
