In the parish of Knocklong there was a certain landlord who was very harsh and cruel to his tenants and was now hated.

In the parish of Knocklong there was a certain landlord who was very harsh and cruel to his tenants and was much[?] hated.
The priest consoled the people by saying that the landlord would suffer in the next world. When the landlord died his ghost was seen driving in a coach.
One day a poor man came to the priest and asked why the landlord was having such a good time in the next world. The priest said he was carrying his hell around with him. The priest told the man that the next time he[?] would see the coach to touch it with a piece of paper. The man did so, and the paper blazed and burned his fingers.
