    A bird like the swallow but has white feathers on his tail He arrives in this country in the middle of April They fix up the old nests they had the year before and lay their eggs in them They make their nests under the caves of houses of wet mud The nest is closed all round except a smll hole where the bird can go in and out There is a line of soft grass or moss in the middle of the nest The house-martin lays about 5 eggs of a white colour There are no spots on her egg The house-martins leave Ireland early in October
