  1. 1. Long ago when people used cut their hair they used bury it in a hole in a fence for luck.
People say that when the people used die they used come back again for the hair.
    2. Long ago it was the custom to bring in the sow to farrow into the kitchen.
This custom is still in Ireland.
Mr. Healy, Tullyglass brings in the sow to farrow because they say you would not have any luck unless you bring her in. Mr. Healy is a very smart man and he has been to America but he does not like to break the old custom.
    3. When my mother was a child on Christmas Nights people used boil fish and potatoes for their dinner at six o' clock p.m. and the same for their supper at 12 o' clock p.m.
